Scrappers Give Thanks is an annual community scrapbooking project benefiting a chosen charitable cause or organization. Founded by Jennifer S. Wilson with gracious support from Anna Aspnes, our inaugural project in 2009 delivered over 650 handmade cards to Operation Write Home.

This year it gets bigger! In 2010, our goal is to deliver more than 2000 messages of joy, laughter and inspiration to children in hospitals across the US and Canada.

And the ladies at Digi Scraps Drive-In have stepped up to the plate. Not only have the created a beautiful charity collab kit, but they built an entire weekend event around it.

The Charity Scrapathon runs from October 21 to 24. Anyone can scrap along, but to be eligible for the prizes, you need to have purchased the charity collab kit.

Yes, I know - two posts close together - but there's so much going on I wanted to help you by keeping it separate.

It's hard for me to believe it has been a year since Digi Scraps Drive In opened! It is most definitely time to celebrate!

To kick off our month-long Birthday Bash, we are hosting a Progressive Blog Hop Challenge. Here is how it works:

* follow our Progressive Blog Hop, picking up each mini along the way.
* Create a layout using at least one piece from each mini (more if you wish)
* Upload your LO to our Birthday Bash gallery, and link it back to the Progressive Blog Hop Challenge thread.

When you complete this challenge, you will receive a loot bag that coordinates with the blog hop minis.

But don't stop there! We will be hosting challenges and events all month long. You can pick up several more loot bags, and have a huge celebration themed mega kit when the month is done. We will be posting new challenges all month, so keep your eyes on the Birthday Bash forum.

You'll probably want to keep an eye on the store, too, for the sales. We will have a new sale each week, starting with a Toonie sale.
